Thousand Island dressing is one of my favorite salad dressings. It is actually a very simple dressing to make with only 5 ingredients. This dressing is not only delicious on salads but can add a tangy flavor to sandwiches and wraps too. Enjoy the versatility of this no-fuss Low FODMAP Thousand Island Dressing.
Ingredients
1 cup Mayonnaise (or vegan mayonnaise)
Check your ingredient list to avoid mayo made with high fructose corn syrup. Due to an egg allergy at my house, we use vegan mayo. It still tastes great!
1 cup Sweet Relish
Be careful which brand you select as most brands are made with high fructose corn syrup. I use Albertsons Signature brand sweet relish.
½ cup Ketchup
Again, be cautious with the brand of ketchup you buy. Many are made with high fructose corn syrup. I use Heinz Simply Tomato Ketchup. You could also purchase a low FODMAP ketchup. Per Monash FODMAP app, a low serve of ketchup is 0.46 ounces which is a little less than 1 tablespoon (0.92 tablespoons). The amount of ketchup in this recipe is diluted to less than a small serve of ketchup per serving of dressing.
A pinch of salt
A dash of ground black pepper
Instructions
Measure each ingredient into a small mixing bowl. Stir until well combined and enjoy!

I love that this recipe. I was able to find sweet relish that didn't contain high fructose corn syrup. It took a bit of looking but I did find it. I had forgotten what Thousand Island dressing tasted like!!! I will use this recipe for so many things.
